My friend drives a two door 2004 Hyundai Getz GL which I believe is a 1.5lt. She has no idea about the history of the car. So i decided to start fresh.
# Getz 1.5L (G4EC2) DOHC 2002-On Timing Belt
- Gates Timing Belt - T282
- Belt Specification - HSN 105x22 C
# Oil Filter - Z79;A
# Air Filter - A1496
# Spark Plugs - Bosch S11-4 (OEM NGK BKR5ES-11)
- gap is 1-1.1mm the Bosch are preset at 1.1mm
- torque ~20NM +90degrees
# I decided to run a Nulon engine oil flush and a fuel injector cleaner.
# The car is running on a 10w40 (due to the age of the engine i went slightly thicker.
# I am chasing down a GL4 75w-90 gearbox oil.
Crank bolt was a joke. Rattle gun and starter motor couldn't remove it @_@
I wedged a bar between LCA and axle and cranked the motor.
I had to soak the crank nut in CRC
She finally gave. I believe there was loctite invovled. I should have heated it up
Engine mount has to come off. Power steering pump two locking bolts, alternator locking bolts and the A/C tensioner has to come off.
I jacked the motor up with the engine mount off to get access to the water pump. I used the old belt wrapped around the power steering unit to stop it slipping.
Timing belt cover has a bolt behind the water pump.
I made all my own markings for the timing belt and crank.
Auto tensioner and idler were replaced. Auto tensioner was tricky due to the spring. I used a pry bar to hold it in place.
It took approx 4-5 hours. Had trouble with the engine mount not wanting to budge and the crank bolt.
I didn't jack the car or take the driver side wheel off. I manage to do the swap.
Hunting down timing belts:

10.05 4 1.6 G4ED-G BT282H 105 22 XR Kit - BTK95632S
I also want to change all other belts e.g. power steering, A/C and crank. I wouldn't mind doing a water pump and thermostat. But I might just put it on hold for now.
Last year i added new brakes and front rotor. Yet to do a bleed.
