Turbosmart Comp Gate 40 - New 1/16NPT Fittings - Ready for the 3port - Adaptronic 4G15

<- 1/16TH NPT - -4AN Flare fittings then to a JIC swivel fitting
Finally in goes the TD04 and external gate. To be completely tweaked and tuned and ready to race. Can't wait to get the spool down.

Basically i notice the turbo leaking oil :(
Turns out to be the 10x1.5mm to -4AN that was loose, then it snapped
I didn't believe it was installed properly.

New fittings for the 3port, yes its over kill. Guess thats what i get for using a hydraulics shop, some 300psi hose @_@

While i was down there I decided to clean the wg, add a bit of copper paste.

From Adaptronic - /setting-up-open-loop-boost-control/

Hardware:

If you are using an external waste gate actuator with a single port, the compressor exit before the throttle body connected to port 3, and port 2 should be connected to the waste gate actuator.  This means that when the valve is off, the actuator sees the boost pressure and it is set by the spring in the actuator. When the valve is on, the actuator sees atmospheric pressure and the spring holds the waste gate shut.

If you are using a dual port actuator, the compressor exit should be connected to both the underside of the diaphragm and port 1 on the valve. Port 2 on the valve connects to the top side of the diaphragm.  This means that when the valve is off, the top side of the diaphragm sees atmospheric pressure while the bottom side sees boost pressure, resulting in the boost set by the actuator spring. When the valve is on, both sides of the diaphragm see boost pressure and the spring holds the waste gate shut.

Software - Auxiliary Output:
You will need to connect one side of the MAC valve to an aux output on the ECU. If it’s a 420c or a Select, you need to use auxiliary output 1, 2 or 3, because those are pulse width modulation capable. The other side of the MAC valve needs to be connected to ignition switched +12V. You then need to configure that output as a waste gate control and enable PWM and select 25 Hz as the PWM frequency.

MZ562835 - OEM Colt Plus Visors - Z27A / Z27AG Fitment

I had these for some year, totally forgot about them till I saw someone selling them.
I haven't had any issues with them and they have been on a tracked car, pulling 180km/hr

Couple Photos -

These are the OEM version, there is a ColtSpeed one I believe? That doesn't use clips and is a lot slimmer profile.

The rebuild kit is also used by the TRD Monoblocks, as you can see there are a couple similar parts, rebuild kit and the pistons.

Evo 3 Twin pots vs Lexus. Do not just by the feel in my hand, Evo ones are sooo much heavier. Atleast 1kg I reckon.

I will never buy Bosch Fusion Plugs ever again #@$^#% - Civic Hated It!

Finally decided to give my B18C some TLC.
It was due for an oil change, but i decided to replace some other parts.
New sparkplugs, fuel filter, ignition leads & new dizzy rotor.

I think she is as 189k km and is due for a rear main and a syncro or two.
A stereo would also be nice, or a radio lol

But what a biatch it was. Later to find out the car absolutely hates the Bosch plugs, after i spent about $60 on the load of crap. Never will i buy a Bosch plug for my loved JDM cars. It wias missing hardcore in the mid rpm range, top end was ok.

My B18C parts included -
Fuel Filter - Silver Line FF39SL or a Z463 (included new crush washers)
Oil Filter - Z27A / Z27AHE
Ignition Lead / Spark Plug Leads - RC-HE64 / HE64
Dizzy Rotor - JR995

Spark Plugs - F1-4 Piece of shit! NEVER BUY THESE
Also note that if u google, I am not the only one to have issues with Bosch plugs

The Civic has had a power steering pump rebuild /honda-p30a-rebuildoverhaul-from-b18c-eg.html
Its had a new fuel pump /fuel-pump-eg-civic-92.html
A new battery, tested the cooling system ummm
Also new vtech solenoid gaskets /b18c-upper-lower-vtec-solenoid-rebuild.html

Some other shots of the project in its early days, it hasn't moved anywhere besides maintenance /project-civic-eg-with-b18c.html
Not sure what the future holds for her. New rims, brake upgrade and wait for the motor to die? Kswap? Boosted B series. But first is to finish the Colt

Went through all the rear suspension parts to find any sources of noise. Noticed a loose locking ring on the strut

Trying a new Ryco Platinum filter, never have i seen it before. The typical JDM oil filter i see a lot on cars Z79A / Z27AHE

PLATINUM HIGH EFFICIENCY - A NEW RANGE FOR RYCO FILTERS
Ryco Filters Engineers have selected some of the more popular spin-on oil filters to assist in developing the program and the results have been extremely promising.

The Platinum High Efficiency range uses an updated media that achieves a greater flow to the engine. The trade-off for this added performance is that the service interval for Ryco Platinum High Efficiency Oil Filters is to be done at 5,000 kilometre intervals.

The range includes Z9HE, Z79AHE, Z145AHE, Z154HE, Z160HE, Z386HE, Z411HE, Z432HE, Z436HE, Z495HE & Z516HE. The manufacturers covered by this selection are Chrysler, Daewoo, Daihatsu, Fiat, Ford, Great Wall, Holden, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Proton, Subaru, Suzuki & Toyota.^

^ Specific model applications only.
* High Quality Silicon Anti-Drainback Valve where applicable.
** Removes 99% of contaminants based on ISO4548-12 at 20 micron max efficiency on Z9HE.
5,000km service interval.
Not suitable for racing applications.
