Virgin Timelapse Cherry with a Contour+

It has been a long time coming. I never wanted to use the DSLR for timelapse due to the shutter lifespan.
So I was looking for a cheap body, but due to motorsport reasons i went the whole POV style camera.
A Contour+ was my choice
?
I liked the idea of GPS tracking, optional waterproof case, I can view the screen via my HTC and the super wide viewing angle.

My other option was the POV HD camera. I liked the idea of the remote mount solution and low profile camera.
My profile is here http://contour.com/users/ayu452
So the Contour+ has the ability to shoot images at intervals.
Step 1)
I did just over 7900 shots in the space of 3 hours. I believe every 3-4 seconds.
First step was to sequence the images because the Contour+ makes a new folder every 1k photos.
Step 2)
I used Namexif to rename the images based on time taken.
Why?
So i can put all images in one folder, edit and develop.
So for editing I put it through lightroom. Increased blacks, contrasts and dropped -1/3EV. Oh and noise reduction. Not so easy when dealing with 8k photos. But bearable.
Step 3)
Do editing if you wish on the frames. Contour+ is only JPG so no point whitebalancing them.
Step 4)
To stitch the video together I used Quicktime Pro.
It is super simple software, can't do much with it I noticed. But after reading around it was a simple solution.
I did test JPGAVI, but I couldn't get my compressor codec working. So the file became to large.
Step 5)
Once Quicktime had finished i then used SUPER to convert it to avi.
Step 6)
From here i used Windows Movie Maker to add sound and a title screen.
Then exported it as WMV ready for www.youtube.com and www.contour.com
