> fuel filter is behind the driver seat, under the car, you can disconnect the fuel pump and try to purge what is in the lines.
Fuel pump harness it below the rear seat behind the driver.
Two latches release the rear bench seat.
> ATF magnet, cleaner than expected.
Remember, the Mitsubishi gearbox DOES NOT use the DEXIII.
I used an Auto Trans flush, just cause. More on SP2/3 compatible oils:

I was happy to see all 6 plugs were the same.
No idea how long they have been in there for.
Tips weren't too bad.
I also believe the deposits are due to being too cold/too rich.
These were one step colder than OEM .
Whats left?

Amayama Legnum - EC5W Radiator Flush + Low Temp Thermo + Spark Plugs
Tried Amayama for the first time. I was impressed by their service. Will be a returning customer.
But you need to know your stuff, it is all by part numbers.
Ordered parts:
----------
Mitsubishi MR212200 FILTER, FUEL - 3,933 JPY, 1 items
FEBEST MRKBEA BOOT, DUST COVER - 2,536 JPY, 2 items
Mitsubishi MR765363 HOUSING, PLASTIC - 3,765 JPY, 1 items
Mitsubishi MD752072 FILTER, OIL - 2,114 JPY, 1 items
Total: 12,348 JPY
Such a long process, not use to working on such a car. The Colt and Civic is so easy.
Intake pipes have to come off, battery, turbo outlet pipes, engine cover.
Fan controller had to be moved, wiring loom needed to be moved.
Look what I found...Rusted thermostat housing.
And what lay underneath, pitting :(
Very little contamination within the cooling system. Which is a good start.
Using a radiator flush, just in case.
2 x fresh water flushes
2 x radiator chemical flush
2 x distilled water flush
After I cleaned the rust and build up off.
Using a metal epoxy to fill in the pitting.
Intake manifold has to come off for the new spark plugs.
Yes, I have a new gasket for it aswell.
Not too hard to get off, just annoying.

I found extremely pitting surfaces on my coolant housing.
I'm not sure if this is a metal mismatch or a form of electroloysis.

EC5W Project - 9Months
I picked up a second hand car, an import.
I always wanted more space. So a sports wagon was on the cards.
2yrs later I took the plunge. It was a hard sale, but I did it. I hope to restore this perfect car.
Part of the process is to pull it apart and figure out what has been done to it, as it had zero log books
:(
Who does that! Besides me ha.
First step was to clean up the wiring, I noticed the steering column adjustments would cause funky things to happen.
Turned out the previous owner used VAMPIRE CLIPS !!!!!!! What the hell.
So out came the soldering iron.
I noted the owner had installed paddle shifters from an Lancer, Outlander? Who knows as it is a common part.
(Part Number: 2401a004).
A nice touch, shifter is smoother than the auto selector.
Car has some custom pipe work, exhaust, Brembos and Tein coilovers.
It also has a busted alternator !!!!!!!!
Brake fluid flush.
Inspect all belts.
Rotate wheels.
New alternator, test alternator relay.
<- Check brake pads and rotors.
new ones needed on the front, both rotors and pads.
Might some new plastic guards.
Tein Coilovers. Might give them some loving.
