Quick Tips
- Ultra Grey® Gasket Maker, a formula for more rigid flanges (120% elongation), is designed for closely spaced bolt patterns and higher load conditions.
- Ultra Black® Gasket Maker is a formula that is eight times more flexible than cut gaskets when cured (360% elongation)
- Ultra Blue® RTV Silicone Gasket Maker, formulated for bonding oil-contaminated metals, is three times more oil-resistant than conventional silicones and eight times more flexible (360% elongation) than cork/composite gaskets.
- Permatex anaerobic Gasket Makers are designed to prevent movement in rigid assemblies. These gels cure between close-fitting machined metal surfaces in the absence of air
- Muffler tail pipe cement - good if you are not welding your exhaust pipe. Use this to connect/seal your exhaust together then you should really tack it with an arc or I have seen some use U bolt/clamps.

What I have Used
- I have used the grey on oil pans, gearbox machined surfaces, head cover and rear main seal without issue. I heard it can be used pretty much anywhere. Some people say black and grey are the same, if you have grey go grey.
- High temp red i have used on exhaust gaskets. Coat the gaskets on exhaust manifolds/dump pipe
- I have a copper spray that people recommend spraying to the back and front of head gaskets and anything else high temp
- Starbrite Liquid Electrical Tape, its like a rubber cement  Good for when you are cutting and splicing electrical looms and if you are worried your electrical tap might fall off. Use the liquid one then wrap it with electrical tape. It also stops moisture getting in
- Liquid thread sealant - good for and temp sensors whether it be oil or coolant related. Teflon tape might break off and contaminate the oil or coolant. Hence the liquid stuff. Or some fittings use tapered threads, thread tape may get in the way.
- Cooper anti sieze is good for bolts you don't want to fuse/seize. I also use it on brake clips or back of brake pads if you have noise issues.
