One Tuff Z27AG

Finally after a couple years I pulled my finger out and went to a full ECU and Dyno tune...
I had been previously playing around with various mods to get more power out of the little 1.5lt Turbo.

I tried a special YR Advance Solenoid http://www.yr-advance.com/ this provided me with around ~1.1bar boost..Upped from stock ~0.9bar.
Very happy with this...then i got there exhaust...then the airbox...i love there stuff
Quality is top notch!

Changed to the airbox after the pod suffered from to much heat soak...it is a crazy price...dont know if it was worth it...but i went a lil crazy and got it.
I believe i can sell it at a later date. But its working nicely for now.
~$700AUD
Takes a bit of effort to install and remove...its so precise mounts nicely in the stock airbox position

The airbox uses a dual intake system. Ram air from the front and a 2ndary intake on the side...
Plan is to remove the battery and locate it at the back and run another cold air intake to the side...

I was a cheap ass and decided to install my own intercooler after I got ridiculous quotes. Put it in for about 250$ and half a days work.
It is from a Xr6 got it for $100.lots cheaper than the 2k Greedy version.  Cooler survived my 250HP tune

Went for the adaptronic ECU because nothing else was supported...Recently the ECU flash has been unlocked though.
http://adaptronic.com.au/
My friend installed it in his shed...was a good days work.
To complete the tune i upgrade the fuel system with fuel pump, reg and 525cc injectors.

To match the power i had upgraded the brakes and suspension.  Found a 2nd had set of Tien for small compact Z27ag (Ralliart Colt).

Another little experiment i tried was the Jarcar Boost controller...when on WOT I was able to hold ~1.1bar boost

I made a relay to switch between stock ecu boost and the jaycar boost depending on if i was WOT or
not.
Below is my tune...Happy with the power so far...Now i need an LSD which I am researching. Future mods may include a bigger turbo once i kill the stock one!

4Sale - 135mm F2D

I have started to get rid of my specialised gear including both the 135 and 105 lens i own...
I am also thinking to get rid of my 24-70...I think it is versatile for weddings and maybe a carry around but performance wise it doesn't do it for me...
I will stick with my 35 f2 and 50 1.4 and 70-200 and the 10.5...
If i do get rid of all my gear i am gonna consider the 24mm for the 85mm

But at the moment i am chasing a house and would prefer the buffer cash hence the sale of the 135 and 105.
I was bored and i decided to take some photos of it before i farewell it to someone...

Took more photos of the super clean lens!

TeaPots - Genmaicha and Matcha

ahh..where do I start! I have been very lazy recently and I have neglected to update the blog...my sad little story
I dont know where to pick up from...so i went through flickr and decided to find some pictures to start the story
Teapots! After coming back from Taiwan my fascination for tea pots and tea grew...I was very lucky that my dunk friend dad offered me some of his tea pots...each in excess of $100AUD...He is a tea pot collector he has to much money haha! I think his most prized tea pot is over $10,000AUD

This is one of my more favourite tea pots simple n elegant...I broke my heart when i chipped the inner lip of the lid, your can't see it but I know its there @_@
Recently i have been experimenting with Japanese green teas.  I did get a bunch of tea from Taiwan but I am starting to prefer Matcha tea because of its warmer taste.  I feel the Taiwan teas are more suited to everyday but the Japanese ones are when you want something different.Next I plan to try Gyokuro (one of the highest Japanese Teas I didn't like the wakame [seaweed] taste/smell as a first impression but I think it is an acquired taste I would like to develop).
I am still finishing off my Genmaicha (puffed roasted rice) with Matcha (higher quality of green tea leaves).  From my understanding a normal Genmaicha will have a green tea powder.  Whereas the Matcha is a higher quality leaf and you will have a fluro green tea rather than the typical dark green brown yellowish.

The dragon tea pot I picked as a gift is very interesting...the fine details are unbelievable.  The head moves in and out of the lid as you pour and so does the tongue! the fine hand craft details are crazy! The third tea pot I picked is just another simple and elegant one.
I also purchased my first Japanese style tea pot which is made out of cash iron (seen above on the right)
Below is the Genmaicha with Matcha

Z27AG Brake Service

After figuring out Mitsubishi doesn't do the best in servicing my car i took it upon myself to do it.  Mainly I want to know exactly what i put into the car, and i take care in double checking all my bolts.
Last services i had  a missing alternator locking bolt, cross threaded lock nut which split the hub bolt when iI had to snap to get my wheels off to rotate them, had air in the brake line, they sprayed some air con conditioner which damage all my interior plastics. So I am over getting someone else to do until I have tried and given up doing it myself.

- a nice chunk out of my tyres thanks to my mate Shane...they survived the track day though which is great!!!

- got myself some A1RM from http://www.gslrallysport.com/shop/ great prices and service.  I am happy with them and I can't wait to track them!

- I did notice my calipers are more likely to be VR4 than Evo III due to the different brake line fitting. Evo III uses a banjo http://www.gsrcyborgclub.com/

- my slaughtered EBC Green Stuff...I have no idea how they got cooked so bad @_@
I think i did about 15,000km on them. Only did one track day at Jacks Hill which is ~1min laps

- below is a picture of some sick rattle power, it is one of the best investment makes taking wheels and brakes off so much quicker and easier

- the fluids i chose this time... Mobile Full Syn 5W-50....Wanted something thicker for track, before i was using 10W-40 Semi Syn...

- Redline MT-90 GL4 oil for the box...
Note: When doing transmission oil, always take off the filler nut before the drainage plug...Because it is super tight and if you drain it before hand you might never be able to fill it...Mine were super tight and really hard to get to...I can't remember the exact size maybe a hex drive Size 8...i then used a closed end spanner to turn it, i couldn't get a socket wrench in there.. To tight
- Tools of choice some Sidchrome and Kingchrome...Buy a tool once and buy it right! None of the cheap china shit from bunning that break after 1 use
- brake bleed is troublesome, but it is doable if you have patience and someone to help pump the peddle..
- i used the syringe to top up the master cylinder as my car is dam hard to get to...i had a spanner to open and shut the bleed valve/brake nipple...got my mate to pump it as a open and closed the nipple...every 4 pumps i topped up the master cyclinder...i complete a full flush with just under 3lt
- I went twice around the car...first one was to get rid of the old fluid then 2nd time around i started the engine to create a vacuum and went around the car a 2nd time

- rear caliper piston that require you to rotate it to retract it...i use vice grips and pliers it is a pain in the ass...rotate it both ways to get it moving then to retract it i believe it was clockwise

- the tools...a 13mm sock and 15mm spanner to take off the rear caliper...

HTC Desire

I am a simple man when it comes to phones...I have been using my Samsung i450 for two years now...What a great little phone especially with a 3.5mm jack and FM tuner>>>
I lost the back cover just over 6months ago, it is really falling apart and occasionally it freezes.
I am not the most gentle of people when it comes to phones, it has taken some mighty drops!
My work phone was a 6210 classic (I think), what a crap little phone...Just over a year the mic/speaker plays up @_@
18 months later my boss allowed me to get a new phone from Telstra ^_^
Looked at the X10, was very happy with it but it was very expensive and Sony had not released the new OS.  It still uses ver1.6 Android (should be updated in Q4 2010)...
It was good but not as smooth has the 2.1 on the HTC Desire
I didn't want a touch screen phone as I was well adapted to the standard keypad.
Oh and I hate Iphone! Hence didn't even waste my time to look at it.  I think everyone is brainwashed and I can't stand it.
So I gave the HTC Desire ago...it's not bad as a daily work phone, bigger than what I am use to and battery life isn't that crash hot...within 2 days I was over the app store, so now it just a normal phone...I use it for work email exchange, sms, phone calls, the occasional internet browsing and facebook photo uploads...
I was bored with the look of it so I bought a gelaskin >>> absolutely brilliant...I love the art works provided, lots of choices.  They are cheap and thick 3M material!! Protecting the phone and adding wicked customisation that no one has.
Purchased via paypal couldn't have been easier and very fast delivery.

Perth, On My Way Home

Thought I would bring my camera to work because Perth is experiencing a big ass storm...
No go, didn't get any shots of the storm
I even went storm chasing last night...Sat in the car for over half hour waiting to see some lightning :(
