Fuel Pump Install Z27AG - Walbro GSS342 - Tomei Type S Fuel Reg

Upgrade fuel pump to the 255lt Walbro.
Pretty sure it the one out of the evo.
You have to modify two little legs off the pump to get the cap on.
Tap it with an angle grinder and a file.

Where is the fuel pump?
Under the seats, you should be able to lift the seats up.
Enough room to get access

Remove the cover. The fuel cage thingy will need to be unbolted.
Take off all hoses. One has a pull back collar if i remember correctly. Another is a hose clamp?

Have a towel ready to grab any excess fuel. Becareful not to damage the float.

The bottom thing is the filter. You have to remove that bottom cap. the fuel filter is inside it the cage you took out of the fuel tank.
Remove the wires from the top of the fuel pump.

The fuel pump i got. Forgot to take photos after I modified it.

The parts for the fuel system upgrade on the Rcolt (Z27AG) include:
- fuel reg (type S) inc. 2x AN6 1/8NPT Fitting & 2x #8 Straight 1/8NPT Fitting
- fuel pump (Walbro GSS342 )
- EFI fuel hose (5/16", 7.9m), fuel hose clamps
- and Skyline fuel rail adapter - which i believe i am using a barb outlet 8 mm / 0.314 inch on the 1/8" female port

Can kind of see where the fuel reg is hiding.

Info from a Sing Friend:

Q: Me - and do you know our stock fuel pressure (i believe it is 40psi). you mention 3.8bar
Answer:
When I was tuning my ride using stock turbo, I added in sard (small size) fuel regulator and brought the pressure up to 3.8bar to accomodate about 1.15 of high boosting...thats pretty much the peak fuel pressure for high boosting...
Unless you are going for tuning, my guess is you dont really have to get the regulator as yet...

Upgrading of wrx injectors and fuel pump are meant to compliment turbo upgrades, e.g. td04...
For wrx injectors, 2 types...a) 380cc (2.0L wrx) and b) 440cc (2.5L wrx)...do not go to sti injectors, way to big
As for pump, I am using the 255L walbro fuel pump...

MANUAL SPECS FOR THE RCOLT Base fuel pressure of 3km/cm2 ~ 42psi

I have recently come across another brand of fuel pump that is highly recommended and it suppose to out flow the 255 Walbro. Deatschwerks dw301
But on the evo forums they seem to be skeptical about the Deatshwerks see here
The user recommended re wiring the Walbro, stock wiring wasn't up to the task. I didn't read the whole article but i am assuming they are talking about current flow.

When I did my first dyno back in Dec 2010. Maxed out the stock turbo @210FWHP. I also upgraded the injectors. I used Bosch 525cc 3/4 US Plug Injectors. Part No HP525BH55?? They had to change some cap on it so that it fitted the stock fuel rail.
Also had to get four new injector connectors to suit.
The work was done by GTI Performance Cetnre in Bibra Lake. My car has 68k km on it. It has now done about 86k km.
